You can back track from the game's final autosave to scan anything you missed. Most scannable objects can be found all throughout the game, while some only appear once. Scannable objects include plants and buildings in the environment, materials, enemies, the people at your camp, etc. You can also use to aim at objects, a red square will appear if you have already scanned it, but a blue square will appear if you haven't. There are 58 scannable objects located in the game. This is an easy and enjoy 1000 to add to your collection!

The game is not particularly challenging and should only last a few hours for completionists. And you can leave the area and search the entire map for any scannable objects you missed.Īside from the Space Archaeologists (50G) achievement, this game is a nice leisurely action adventure game.

Luckily, the game's final autosave is just before the final boss fight. If you are thorough enough, you will complete the game with all achievements earned however, it is ciompletely possible that you still need to scan objects for Space Archaeologists (50G). The rest of the achievements will unlock as you progress through the story. There are a number of combat related achievements for using certain abilities ( Three's a Crowd (25G)) or getting gunk beasts to run into each other ( Take Charge (50G)). Along the way, you will find opposition in the gunk monsters and the gunk itself. The lower level ones all have what looks like a solar system model, but the 5 on the mid and top level each have a unique star pattern with some stars flashing. While exploring the Shuro Chi encounter space I noticed that on the roofs of the pavillions that Shuro Chi appears in have star patterns.
#The gunk scannables upgrade
You'll need to search most areas for materials to upgrade your abilities ( All In (50G)) and scannable objects to add to your encyclopedia ( Space Archaeologists (50G)). Shuro Chi encounter star patterns and audio tones. The Gunk consists of 8 chapters, connected by a semi open world, withs ome linear paths. I keep hearing different numbers from different people and counting up the marks on the maps adds up to a different amount than quoted by some users too (io for instance 32 on the map - i've heard 34. A search for energy brought you here, but the search for the Gardener will keep you here! These numbers may change if more scannables are discovered, but does anyone have a list of the amount of scannables there are for each location. During your adventure, you will meet new characters, some friendly and some not, collect resources, solve environment puzzles, and upgrade your abilities. You explore a mysterious alien planet in search of energy and uncover an even more mysterious history. The Gunk is a relatively short action adventure experience. It'd be a fine game for like 5-10$, but unless you've got money to burn do not buy this at 25$.For questions, comments or feedback, please visit the Achievements and Guide Discussion thread. The message is fine but the way it's delivered is heavy-handed and preachy, the game is extremely linear and the dialogue is decently written at best, the game itself touts its own beauty while throwing the same 10 or 20 assets at you over and over, the relationship between the main characters is supposed to be a key point but feels hollow, over-done, and stereotypical. Not bad, but if you're going to try to sell me 4 hours of content for over 20 bucks it'd better be **** good, not mediocre.Įdit: I feel I need to add more seeing how positive most reviews are.

The puzzles are engaging enough but unchallenging. The visuals are beautiful but get samey very quickly, there's no variety. As far as the 4 hours themselves, they aren't even anything to write home about.
